Finance MicroMasters Online edX Program – Graduate-Level MITx Courses Launched

A new MicroMasters program in finance has been introduced on the online platform edX by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MITx). The graduate-level online course is suitable for anyone seeking to gain comprehensive knowledge in modern finance and advance their career in the sector.

More information is available at https://www.awin1.com/cread.php?awinmid=6798&awinaffid=665937&ued=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.edx.org%2Fmicromasters%2Fmitx-finance

With the newly launched course, MITx seeks to provide recent graduates, professionals in the early stages of their career, and anyone else interested in entering an in-demand job market with the opportunity to gain understanding and quantitative skills in finance.

Successful graduates will obtain a MicroMasters program certificate in finance, improving their chances of getting into the MIT Sloan Master of Finance program, which holds a high reputation globally.

The Micromasters program is divided into five parts, each lasting between 10 and 14 hours a week for a period of 12 weeks. The first module of the online education course is designed to introduce students to the basics of major financial markets and instruments. The module, titled Foundations of Modern Finance I, is scheduled to begin on September 22, 2021

The course is followed by Foundations of Modern Finance II, which teaches participants about the main principles of modern finance. MIT professors discuss business and investment valuation models, risk analysis techniques, derivatives, and handling investments and financial assets.

Financial Accounting is the third section of the MicroMasters curriculum, which explores the methods for analyzing financial reports to evaluate a business’ performance.

Next comes the Mathematical Methods for Quantitative Finance module, which educates students about linear algebra, stochastic processes, statistics, and other mathematical methods they can apply in financial engineering and quantitative finance.

The last course, Derivatives Markets: Advanced Modeling and Strategies, concentrates on the various instruments for risk quantifying, hedging, and speculating.

Each of the modules is followed by an exam to allow students to earn their verified certificate and MicroMasters credentials. Those who complete the program have greater chances of being recognized by potential employers as talent with extensive knowledge and skills in finance.

The program has been validated by Goldman Sachs for enabling students to showcase a “level of skill and commitment that we look for when hiring or promoting finance professionals.”
