Greenwich Village Vegan Cuisine: Traditional French Recipes Summer Menu Launched

The head chef at Delice & Sarrasin believes in cooking with seasonal produce and cultivating seasonal tastes–as has long been the tradition in both high-end and home-cooked French cuisine. That’s why the popular vegan restaurant has a new August menu to mark the mid to late summer period and to capture the taste of Provence and the South of France for those New Yorkers who are not lucky enough to be taking a European vacation this year.

One of the more popular and highly rated vegan restaurants in Manhattan’s thriving plant-based food scene, Delice & Sarrasin is committed to bringing their patrons a menu that fuses inventive plant-based cooking with time-honored traditional French recipes.

All the vegan meals in their new August summer menu are made from organic, wild food and seasonal produce. They also reimagine many of the classic French dishes that define the French Riviera and the rolling lavender hills of the Provence region and remake them with innovative, healthy and completely animal-free ingredients.

Delice & Sarrasin has a new summer menu for both their brunch, lunch and dinner service, and patrons at the high-end restaurant can enjoy new dishes like their vibrant seaside-inspired ‘Tagliatelle Aux Fruits De Mer’, which features vegan squid, and shrimp. Also acclaimed on their new August menu is their new take on the internationally famous ‘Coquilles St Jacques’ with grilled vegan scallops and garlic sauteed spinach.

Delice & Sarrasin is a family-owned restaurant. The restaurant’s talented head chef, Yvette Caron, trained at Le Garenne in the South of France.

A spokesperson for the vegan restaurant said, “Delice & Sarrasin is a haven for vegan French cuisine that captures the essence of authentic flavors in every bite. Our family-run restaurant is dedicated to creating a truly immersive dining experience where plant-based eaters can indulge in the rich heritage of French gastronomy.”

For those diners with other dietary preferences, allergies and food intolerances, Delice & Sarrasin’s new August menu also comprises dishes that are gluten-free, soy-free, sesame-free–in addition to being strictly dairy-free, shellfish-free and egg-free.
