Outdoor Concert Plans The Great Return of Classic R&B in Houston

Good Vibes Only HTX ignites their highly anticipated summertime concert for families and groups to enjoy sprawling out at The Water Works in Buffalo Bayou Park on July 10, 2021 from 5-10 p.m. Known for crafting soulful experiences for the city, “Good Vibes After Dark” is where good energy meets passion, jam-packed with music and therapeutic libations. The show will feature singer Kaash Paige, along with headliner Lucky Daye who will take the stage for his first performance since the pandemic.

The concept of Good Vibes After Dark was sparked during the quarantine in hopes to provide music therapy for all to enjoy. Founded by mental health advocate and creative director Wale Adekoya, the goal of the event is to address the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of every attendee.

“Social distancing and wearing masks has disconnected us from one another,” Adekoya says. “It has influenced a sense of fear and uncertainty of those around us. This concert was curated for an audience who take a holistic approach in music.”

The Good Vibe Only HTX organization was designed to provide solutions to those dealing with social anxiety and mental blocks. Their team believes they curated an event geared towards an audience who find healing through music. Since its successful 2016 debut, Good Vibes Only HTX has highlighted some of the best entertainment that Houston has to offer.

“Our goal is to provide remedies to the mind, body, and brain while influencing behavior through the power of melodies,” Adekoya continues.

Located at 105 Sabine St., Good Vibes After Dark will kick-off with classic R&B sounds by Soul Control, DJ Young Streetz, and DJ Shante. With an expected crowd of over 1000 people, Attendees are encouraged to enjoy yoga, stop by counseling stations, and shop with food and retail vendors.
