Ukraine mulls “E-warfare Army”, “Army of Robots” following “Army of Drones” success

The Ministry of Digital Transformation intends to scale the successful experience in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles to other areas of military innovation and invites for cooperation the teams that can help the nation to strengthen the Armed Forces in terms of technology.
This was emphasized by Deputy Prime Minister for Innovations, Development of Education, Science, and Technology, Minister for Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, who spoke at the iForum IT conference in Kyiv, Ukrinform reports.

“A technological revolution has already begun in the field of UAVs over the past year. Within the framework of the Army of Drones project, we killed all bureaucracy for businesses, increased the profit margin to 25%, and streamlined all commissioning procedures. Some Ukrainian companies have increased their UAV production by hundreds of times,” said Fedorov.
But to win the war, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized, it is necessary “to do even more.”

There is an urgent need for all those involved in technology to channel their potential for the benefit of Ukraine’s defense forces, he stressed.
The further task is to scale experience in the field of UAVs to other areas of military innovation, launch an E-warfare Army and an Army of Robots. Our team is ready to cooperate with anyone who can help us in strengthening our front in terms of technology,” Fedorov added.

As reported, the Cabinet of Ministers this year allocated UAH 40 billion for investment in the domsetic production of drones.
